Glass wasn't a failure, it let us exactly know what people are ready for in regards to privacy and wearable computers. Huge lesson learned and bold steps taken. Waves is interesting; it's essentially Slack or Microsoft Teams. The team was ahead of the curve again, but didn't have a viable market place for competition.

Anyways, innovation requires risks. I don't even work at Google and I think it feels wrong to shit on a lot of people's hard work and out of the box thinking, calling them flops. 🙄

-Video is called "Top Google I/O flops"
-Background music is similar to iPad commercial music

I see what you did there, CNET. 😉

I didn't see flops…I saw alpha projects that paved the way for Chromecast, Chromecast Audio, Gmail, VR, and other Google services that we use and love today.

Other than people not wanting to look like a creep, Glass mostly failed because of its insane price

And Google's inability to lower the price once the device was finalized
