I love Apple but I wouldn't get it if it were to come out, those home speakers are just creepy, always listening for your commands. And with a camera watching you? I really can't understand why people buy these things like the echo or google home, why would you submit the privacy of your own home? I don't even have "hey Siri" activated for that same reason but I know I'm delusional for thinking that can stop them from possibly using the microphone on my iPhone or the cameras! Something big is coming and we are slowly adapting to personal surveillance technologies! Crazy shit! Same goes to smart tvs with cameras, x box kinnect, hell the microphone and cameras on modern cars too! And if anyone does know how to hack then they got you there! I'm considering just going old school and not even having a cell phone or at least use and old one with out all these bells and whistles. It's all preparation for the future where we will have microchips installed in our hands or heads! Watch out people, you've all been warned!

"Apple will arrive late to the game" like they did on  watch and a music streaming service yet this was not a problem for them so I don't believe this will be a problem here especially because Alexa is not in Australia and there are very little google homes here as well and for people who are already inside of the apple ecosystem this is a clear choice and a choice I think will impact Alexa and home

Except for Apple owners that are loyal and late to jump on to something new that isn't fully developed.

It seems like Apple takes the idea of capitalism and throws it out the window by charging a higher price compared to their competitors

I find it kinda pointless, why make a another gadget for something that Macbook, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and even Apple TV can do? They might as well double Apple TV as an Echo competitor and save the money to make Siri better.

The biggest thing the Apple needs to come out with is another Steve Jobs.

How many Apple users already have an Echo or echo dot.. who uses it for music .. I use it for home automation and get info cooking timers etc. Exho works well and will be cheaper.. I know Apple will sell a lot but don't see the need to change

I don't see the point of this considering that Siri on the iPhone can already be activated while off when "hey Siri" is said. A smart speaker wouldn't be any different from that except that it is its own device.

Here is the kicker, if it has any whiff of Siri then its a NO BUY, so no buy then! Oh and the price will suck.

Apple is late to the party like the Apple watch. my Amazon Echo is in every room in my house and I love it so I don't think I would get the Apple one it would probably cost more like most Apple products .

Siri is still half baked, and you expect me to come out of more money for a hardware Siri version?

Ok. So I expect you guys to ask the same questions of Apple that you asked of Siri. Do we need another echo competitor. Why did they make this? Who needs it etc
