No way Apple is ditching a fast, convenient and secure Touch ID v2 for a brand new face detection system so soon. No way.

am i the only one that thinks touch id is much better
i mean how do you unlock your phone in the dark or with dark shades, will it function when the sensor is exposed directly in to sunligth all usecases that can happen
and the my number one question is how will the phone know that i dont want to unluck it because i will only watch the clock
and another thing is sombody can take your phone hold it in your face without your premisson and bam its unlocked
without touch id there is no iphone 8 (x or edition whatever) for me

how much personal data are people willing to give up for a piece of tech, this is alarming, first they have everyone finger print, they know where we live where we go and who are we with and now our full faces? they say for security, open your eyes people

Good to be working at CNET. Even people know nothing in the field get a job and can host shows by reading a few rumours sites

How is that more secure??? Imagine someone getting hold of your phone and then just flashing it in front of you and presto, whoever wants your info just needs to have you still for 1 second!!! While you sleep you're vulnerable and the bad guys can hold you while getting robbed and even law enforcement agencies no longer need physical contact with you, soooooo how safe is something that has the key exposed.(which by the way it was a big privacy issue last year) Finger print is the safest but by far the most secure is a SECRET password!

Touch ID is way better than facial recognition… Why change something that isn't broke? I've never heard of any complaints when it comes to the security of Touch ID. Apple better not change it just because they claim it's "more secure". Not to mention I don't see how facial recognition could work in complete darkness.
